My son and I have been searching for a dog to adopt. We visited many of the animal shelters in the area, but with no success. I completed numerous applications with area rescues when a potential dog was spotted – usually on facebook. Then in March, my hairdresser told us about a number of Jack Russell dogs that had rescued by Washington County Humane Society. The dogs would be put up for adoption in the future once healthy. So, we waited and then two weeks ago my hairdresser sent me a text saying, “the dogs are available”. We headed over to the shelter and within 3 hours, Adley was ours. She is a one-year old Jack Russell female and has nicely integrated herself into our home. Such a sweetie, and we are happy to give her a good home after a terrible first year of life.
