Almost three years ago, on my 70th birthday, my daughters gifted me with a trip to Italy. The intention was for all three girls and myself to make the trip within a year’s time. Well we are now three years down the road and after continued Covid concerns, it is finally happening this October – places we are visiting are Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Florence. Participants have changed as well – they now include myself and my oldest friend from elementary school, my oldest daughter and her husband. Family dynamics, physical moves and new babies all changed the composition of this trip. My friend and I are traveling to Rome on our own from Chicago and staying an extra two nights in the city before my daugher and her husband arrive. We have booked a lovely tour with Ciao Andiamo for a week’s time. I just bought our airline tickets so many of the details are taken care of. I will be posting throughout the lead-up to this trip and then during the trip as well. Hopefully I can include photos. This is going to be a wonderful adventure!
