I started the day with the complementary hotel breakfast – so lovely and can’t imagine starting out any other way. Then I moved out to the square to take a jaunt around the Pantheon, well most of it. What a remarkable piece of architecture.

The fountain in front is a thing of beauty as well. People are constantly milling round both structures from early in the morning until late into the night. All of this as well as the sound is visible from my hotel window.

I then had to end this first experience with a gelato.
