Unbelievable is the only word I can think of to describe the Holy City which includes the museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Cathedral.

I spent 3 1/2 hrs. viewing the sites – beautiful sculptures, tapestries, frescos orchestrated by brilliant artists like Michelangelo (who liked to work alone) and Bernini (who employed a cast of workers under him). St. Peter’s Cathedral is beautiful, and the Square outside impressive – this is where most of the masses take place.
Back to the hotel to put my feet up and meet up with my daughter Jennifer and her husband who arrive today.

Lunch first!
