This area is beautiful beyond belief and such a difference in crowd size from Rome! While the roads thru Praiano are narrow and busy, once inside our hotel it is heaven. And only a moderate number of visitors.

We started the day by taking the train from Rome to Naples, then connecting with a private driver to take us to the Coast. We were able to see Mt. Vesuvius & Pompei from the car.

The photo is hazy by what I thought was smog, but our driver corrected me – this is morning fog.
We’ll be eating at the water’s edge tonight so will include some photos later. Just a lovely destination for the next two days. My only disappointment is not having an English- speaking news show to catch up on world events (which have been heartbreaking since the start of the vacation).
